Ms. Latoya Davis - HAABSE Teacher of the Year

We are thrilled to announce that our very own Ms. Latoya Davis has been named the HAABSE Teacher of the Year! This prestigious recognition celebrates her unwavering dedication, passion, and commitment to her students and the field of education.

As part of this incredible honor, Ms. Davis has been awarded a $1,000 prize and a full scholarship to Abilene Christian University to pursue her doctoral degree. We are so proud of her accomplishments and know she will continue to inspire greatness in the classroom and beyond. 

A little more about our HAABSE Teacher of the Year. Latoya Davis is a dedicated, award-winning early childhood education teacher with a proven record of fostering academic and social growth in her students. Currently serving at Stafford Municipal School District's Early Childhood Center, Latoya takes pride in creating engaging and innovative learning environments tailored to the unique needs of her students.

As a Grade Level Team Leader and Teacher Mentor, Latoya provides guidance and support to her colleagues while leading impactful school initiatives. Her notable contributions include facilitating a Fall STEM Challenge and a Nursery Rhyme Olympics event, both of which showcased her commitment to hands-on, collaborative learning. The Fall STEM Challenge integrated the Engineering Design Process, promoting problem-solving and teamwork, while the Nursery Rhyme Olympics highlighted her creativity in fostering foundational literacy skills.

Latoya’s innovative approach to teaching has made a lasting impact on her students, colleagues, and the wider educational community. Having recently been accepted into the L.E.A.D Academy program for Stafford MSD, she aspires to further her leadership journey by pursuing a doctorate in Educational Leadership, with the ultimate goal of becoming a highly effective campus administrator.
