On Monday, January 13, 2025, members of Delta Sigma Theta (DST) from Stafford's Municipal School District (SMSD) celebrated the 112th anniversary of the organization's establishment.

The sorority was established by 22 collegiate women who were determined to use their collective strength to promote academic excellence and provide assistance to those in need. The founders of Delta Sigma Theta were committed to public service, and their legacy continues today as the sorority remains focused on community involvement and advocacy.

During the anniversary celebration and afterward, the SMSD members of DST reflected on their commitment to preservation, highlighting their continuous endeavors in Scholarship, Sisterhood, Service, and Social Action.

This coming Spring, a scholarship will be awarded to a deserving senior who exemplifies both service and academic achievement. The scholarship is generously provided by the following women:
